Any doubt that he was targeted, bound, tortured, and murdered because he was a registered citizen? No doubt in my mind. When will lawmakers see that this kind of sex offender registry collateral damage is not acceptable.

When will they get it? Another person killed. A brother, husband, and/or father taken from their family.

This breaks my heart that this is happening.

Just another reason why the public has no business knowing anything about a person.
He served his time. The system released him. Now let him live his life.

So some vigilante decided that 7 years in prison wasn’t punishment enough.

The article states that he “Attempted to molest a child”. Attempted?
They didn’t go into details…but does this deserve the Death Penalty?

You don’t get beat to a pulp and left in a closet for selling someone a bad auto part.
The writing is on the wall…that someone didn’t want Reginald Locke alive.

This type of news is a HUGE problem with the SOR and everything about it screams

Unconstitutional.

In addition. This is just another case of the need for a RSO to be allowed to carry a firearm for the protection of himself as well as his family.

Once one has served their time, along with parole/probation, we as citizens need to have a means to defend ourselves.

Frank

Once the lame assed govt gets sued for this for being liable maybe the law will be changed !

Attempted? Meaning a Perverted Justice sting? Just have a seat right there so we can kill you.

As usual, the comments under the story are appalling.

This sickens me. I live in fear each day and so do my family members. My mom worries all of the time and if I don’t return her call within a day, she gets sick. I hate living like this. I’m a productive member, yet I can’t enjoy it as I’m always watching my back. My offense was attempt as well, but I was quick to take a plea because my attorney scared me and said I could face life in prison. Afterwards, I knew that wouldn’t be possible.

I decided to come back to school to get my undergraduate degree, yet I’m not sure what good that will do. I hate feeling like this every day. My heart goes out to everyone that has to register as well as their loved ones.
